Social imaginaries and territory in Verjón Bajo and Requilina, Bogotá. Research reflections on rural tourism
Keywords:

This document presents a reflexive vision, an approach to the construction of the social imaginary from the social appropriation of rural territory in the disposition of tourism, generating a peasant identitary set with the rural space of the city of Bogotá, thus fostering a look towards new uses of the land of the daily agricultural tasks, the transit through the rural sectors and the way of differentiating rurality, given its variety of ecosystems.
Each of these manifestations adheres to the experiences lived in the rural field of the city of Bogotá, specifically in the two towns with the greatest extension of rurality: Usme, Requilina and Chapinero, Verjón Bajo. From the methodology proposed by Silva (2004) to the ethnographic construction of Guber (2001), we reflect on the contributions of a research completed in 2017 with some important results and another that starts from a conjunctural situation.
