Abstract

An investigation was carried out in seven hotels with 3, 4 and 5-star in the Valparaíso region, whose tourist accommodation establishments have been transformed into health residences (R.S), due to the COVID-19 pandemic. The objective was to verify if the adaptation to this new role managed to meet expectations. The descriptive research had time limitations for the respondents and the confidentiality of the information. The results indicate that the adaptation to the health use of the establishments was carried out satisfactorily, both in the management of human and material resources, as well as in health purposes, providing care and lodging to the people who had to stay, according to the medical prescription. The Administrators of the R.S. They mention that they use the negotiation as a tool for conflict resolution, and with administrative control and management of the financial and human resources area, are the tasks that they repeatedly perform.
