In 2006, Mexico adopted a speech in favor of the rights of persons with disabilities (PWD) and promoted the Convention on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities of the United Nations (UN) with the aim of respecting their rights. (Ramírez & Osterroth, 2018). Thanks to this, empathy and awareness have been generated towards the problems that PWD experience by not finding adequate accessibility.
This research seeks to determine how the accessibility of tourist destinations affects PWD decision-making. The research will be descriptive and correlational. The method used was the survey, to analyze interests, complications and factors that are taken into account when traveling.
It was concluded that disability is caused by the organization of society and arises from social barriers imposed on PWD. The main limitations are: entrances to the bathroom, the passage through ramps and the common areas.
