Abstract

The knowledge of the English language of the directors of the tourist sector in Cuba occupies a top place. However, the limitations in their use outside the academic context determine an insufficient linguistic performance which constitutes a social problem.

An alternative to achieve the appropriation of this knowledge is the implementation of a strategy that promotes interaction in a cooperative environment in the learning process. Hence the proposed Cooperative Interaction for the Learning of the English Language in Managers of the Tourism Sector for their professional performance in the context of science, technology and society.

This strategy has greatly favored the appropriation of the knowledge of managers to respond to the social mandate that demands international standards based on the principles of the Cuban political, economic and social system. This technology optimizes learning; all are protagonists of the activity.
